It has been a very successful year with the cost of the coach being covered on all but one walk. I would like to thank Roger Lewis for arranging the walks. I would also like to thank Mike Higgins for arranging the week’s holiday to Majorca which will be repeated in 2008, and I would like to thank Diana Young for arranging the Moffat weekend. I hope the coming year will continue as satisfactorily. There will now be a walk every month with an extra walk on the 2nd December The weekends away will be extra events
Peter Malone and myself now have the website up and running. After each walk we will try to get someone from each walk to give a brief description and get as many people as possible to give us photographs so that we should have a new page for each walk
We will continue to try and attract new members as we would like to increase our membership to about 90.
All in all a very successful year.

The accounts were made up to the 12th October and copies of the accounts are available. The first year had been very successful and we have an operating surplus . We have 71 members and had not needed to dip into money to cover costs. We need 37 people on each walk to cover coach costs. Our aim is to just cover our costs; insurance is £140 and affiliation to the Ramblers Association is £36. An estimate of £60 per annum has been put in the accounts to cover the website. The accounts were audited by Mike James on the 12th July and will be audited again on his return from holiday.
