On joining Freshfield Ramblers a fee of £10 is payable and thereafter an annual subscription of £2 will be payable on the 1st November.
Before an individual’s first walk with Freshfield Ramblers a disclaimer must be signed. An adult who will be responsible for their well being must accompany juveniles under the age of 18.
Walks take place once a month on a Sunday and on each occasion there will be three or four walks of varying length and difficulty. Details of the walks will be circulated on the coach.
In September each year a walking weekend is arranged in an hotel and there is a Youth Hostel weekend in December.
Walking boots and waterproofs are essential on all walks and at most times of the year extra gear is advisable - hat, gloves, fleece or sweater. Attached is a sheet giving detailed advice regarding equipment. In case of bad weather, a change of clothes should be brought, which can be left on the coach. A change of footwear is essential. A packed lunch and water is also required.
A place on the coach for the next walk can be booked by contacting the Secretary by phone on 0151 520 2578 or E-mail at diana.young@tiscali.co.uk. Also, the list for the next walk will be circulated on the coach.
The coach fare of £10 is payable on the coach by cash or cheque payable to Freshfield Ramblers.
If you wish to cancel this must be done by informing the Secretary on 0151 520 2578 or diana.young@tiscali.co.uk by 8.30 pm on the Wednesday prior to the walk, otherwise a cancellation fee of £10 is payable.
Non-members are welcome to join us as guests but will be restricted to two walks in any insurance year, which is from 1st March. The coach fare for guests is also £10.
